Home office in a china cabinet

Many years ago my friend Carmine gave me an old family heirloom of his, a blonde wood china cabinet.
For the longest time I used it as a music cabinet to hold my 5-disc CD player and all my CD's (it held quite a lot). I had painted it white to match my TV room.
Then after a few more years I saw an idea in 'Martha Stewart Living' where she took an old wardrobe and made it into 'home office'.

I decided to move the piece into my bedroom and make it a working place to put my computer. I added a piece of wood to the top drawer to make the desk area. I leave the two glass doors open and they act as bulletin boards for favorite photos. It holds various desk items as well as more CD storage (still) in the cabinets underneath.
I found the tailback chair I use with it on my street in the city. One of the spindles was broken. I brought it out to the house, wood glued the spindle back together, spray painted it black and, voila!, a great looking addition to the office!
Here's the how it all looks now.

My 'home office' in my bedroom

So here's the new problem: now that I have the new full home office upstairs, I don't need this cabinet anymore. I'm sad to see it go but I'm thinking I'll replace it with a large wardrobe that I've had in the city for a while. I could use the closet space...the only drawback is I need to paint it white! Ah, good fodder for a future blog posting!
