Please, Mr. Postman

About a month or so ago we had a bad blizzard on the East Coast, one of those "Snowmaggedons" the weathermen are always drumming up fears about.
Our town got through pretty much unscathed, as did my cottage...except for my mailbox.
The post holding it up just cracked in half and it fell on it's side. I'm thinking the post was probably rotted through after so many years and this storm was the final straw to push it over.
I went a couple of weeks before getting it repaired and to my amusement the postman was still putting the mail in it despite it being tipped on it's side. It saved me the hassle of going into town to retrieve all my mail from the post office.
Last week I contacted my yard guy, Jayson, and asked if he could take care of it, sink a new post with quick drying cement and attach the old box. "No problem" he said...and voila, it was up and looking good when I got to the house yesterday. Done and done.

My old mailbox with brand new post...nice!
