I got a flyer in my mailbox the other day saying one of my neighbors had joined Nextdoor.com and I should too...there was a password listed to join with. I was dubious. It had to be some gimmicky sales pitch thing. But I logged on just to check it out. Turns out it was a nice community bulletin board crossed with a Craigslist thing. I posted a question about finding mulch in bulk, where could I find it, and two people responded with good suggestions. I also saw a post from someone who wanted to give away a gas grill that was in perfectly fine condition. I wrote the guy and it was still available. He was over on Archibald street by the park. He said he leave it by the curb (social distancing in tact) and so Scott and I drove over and picked it up. It was a little too big at first to get in the Jeep, so I hightailed it back to the house for some tools to detach the swing out side table. Voila! It fit! I spent a little time this afternoon sprucing it up. Just some Easy-Off on the inside and some elbow grease on the outside and it cleaned up really nicely. All I need to do now is get the gas tank that attaches on the side. Here comes the Summer grilling!!

Life in a Pandemic
The Great CoronaVirus Pandemic of 2020 has been with us over a month now. It's like the world has turned upside down. We're living in Bizarro World...the bare grocery store shelves, the empty streets, everyone wearing masks. My friend Scott has been staying with me since March 31st along with his little dog Travis. We've been doing tons of yard work. Spring cleanup and moving things around, he's been a huge help.
My friend Doris made me this bandana fabric face mask...it's great but you have to wash it every time you go out, ugh. It's the New Normal.
